| Sweetheart suffered serious burns at the hands of children in September 1999. As you can see she survived the ordeal. She was adopted and cared for by good Samaritan Barbara Haunsen-Reyez and her family. Sweetheart is a Delta Society registered Pet Partner (Therapy Dog. She has also visited with joy the California Veterans Home in Barstow, California. Charlie Brugnol facilitates a healing connection between dogs and humans and is sharing this skill with our Country's Solders. He and his wife Sally are taking "Sweetheart" and another dog, Jackson, on a three week trip in June to the Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where they will be doing therapy dog work with burn survivor solders and their familes. |

| People
to People was President Eisenhower’s vision. In today’s global climate,
there has never been a stronger need for the educational exploration
programs that People to People provides. People to People Student Ambassador Programs provide international educational opportunities for grade school, junior high school, and high school students. |
